Electrolysis

Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method of permanent hair removal. Electrolysis was developed in the United States in 1875. A highly trained electrologist inserts a fine probe into the hair follicle and releases a small electrical current to destroy the hair papilla or root. The hair is then easily removed. There will be some redness for up to 30 minutes after the treatment. A calming lotion will be applied so that you can easily return to work or run errands right after your treatment.

A treatment schedule is determined at the time of your appointment. The closer you adhere to your treatment schedule the more effective your treatments will be. Our electrologists are nationally certified. We attend educational classes a minimum of 3 times per year. We are members of the American Electrology Association (AEA), which has established specific standards for our profession.

Free consultations are available and are recommended. Consultations take about 30 minutes. This gives us a chance to see the condition of the area, and time is also set aside for your first treatment if you so desire. Unlike waxing, electrolysis treats only the problem hair. At home care after electrolysis: Home care after your electrolysis treatment is simple. Make sure you clean the area well and you can apply your regular moisturizer or soothing lotion. No glycolic acids. We also recommend Tend Skin for those with sensitive skin.

Waxing

Our waxing services are completely private and as relaxing as possible. We use hard wax on more sensitive parts of the body such as facial, underarm and bikini areas. Our hard wax actually shrink wraps the hair to remove it easily without traumatizing the skin. Strip wax is used on larger areas such as legs and backs.
